  2. Josh,

I like that you began with where knowledge came from traditionally. Your still-image animation is smooth, and appealing. I also like that you included the video of the media specialist talking about student use of Internet technology. Your text slide at approximately 3:00 is missing part of the question. Your topic of information literacy is a critical topic in today's secondary education. I also like that you included the tools most useful to organize information. Do you have the site for the "live guides" mentioned by your speaker? I Googled it but could not find anything that resembled what was mentioned.

  3. Hi Joshua

I especially liked your use of the interview in your video. I also liked how you focused on the need to direct students in the evaluation of Internet resources and in the search for information which is supported by research. I am not sure about how to address this need in my own class but you have given me a good start in the explanation of the use of Internet resources. The part of the video that was very successful was your use of the interview and relating the interview material to the standards you were addressing. While watching your video, I wondered about developing an assignment in my class which best demonstrated proper evaluation of Internet resources.

Excellent job, I enjoyed your video and learned from it also!

  5. It was neat to see a librarian at CAMS in your video! I preferred NoteStar for leading the way to research papers with 7th graders. I so agree with LibGuides and librarian Joyce Valenza talks about guides here. I thought your audio was not as clear as it could have been and wondered if you were using a headset?

  6. I liked how your questions were direct and answered through interview form. I agree with your librarian that students still need some help in determining the best info they get out of researching-the product. Had some trouble hearing parts of the interview but overall, nice job.

  7. Josh, Nicely done and an important topic to us. Very important point that your interviewee made about students wanting to use Google as the primary research tool. I particularly like the way you broke up the video with a question on a still image. This is the first time I’ve seen that technique used. One cautionary comment: the ending was quite abrupt. We went from your interview right into references and the finale.
